About Me

 

Professionally

I am a marketing professional with over twenty years' experience across several different industries.

 

Following a BSc(hons) degree, my first marketing role was for a four-star hotel, spa and golf club in Essex. I then gained specialist PR and media relations experience with Epping District Council followed by four years within the charity sector as a Marketing Executive for national disability charity, Motability.

 

In 2008, I joined Holly House Hospital as Marketing & Business Development Manager, with responsibility for identifying growth opportunities and executing marketing strategies designed to exploit these opportunities, as well as supporting the development of the private practices of hospital consultants. I've since held similar positions with Ramsay Health Care and Schoen Clinic, a new entrant to the UK health market, where I launched three hospitals in a nine-month period.

 

I established Firtree Marketing in 2014, with the aim of providing flexible, affordable and effective marketing support based on the specific needs of individual clients.

 

Personally

I  love reading and like to spend any free time I have curled up on the sofa with tea, chocolate and a good book. I also love writing so what better way to combine the two sharing my thoughts about the books I read! I read mainly psychological thrillers and women’s fiction but basically just love a good book and so will read most things. I am honoured to be a reviewer for The Bookbag but basically this is a place for me to just fan-girl about the books I love and the authors behind them.
